Duties & Responsibilities

Under the overall supervision of the Package Manager, in coordination with the management staff in field office, the Social Mobilizer is required to conduct community seasons for mobilization, sensitization, education, awareness and social developments. He/she is required to conduct multi-disciplinary field visits and support the team through facilitation of multi-functional activities of the program and further lead the facilitations of field level activities throughout 20 communities and 4 Guzars of the city in Pole Alam, Logar. and Gardez 30 communities 6 Guzars. He/she is expected to establish and facilitate effective coordination and partnership with the different government offices in the province including but not limited to municipality office, DoE, education department, health department, BRISHNA, DoRR, DoWA, the governor office and other relevant government offices and other stakeholders in the province to ensure transparent implementation of the annual plan in the province.

Duties & Responsibilities

-Regular meeting with the community leaders, elders, and resource persons;

-Conduct social and technical assessment and surveys;

-Collect and manage data of the day to day operations;

-Monitor the daily program activities;

-Report on the daily project activities to the respective activity manager;

-Facilitate community-based training, education, and awareness;

-Ensure proper filling system for each and every activity;

-Support administration and finance on the preparation of the necessary files and documents;

-Develop community profiles for the target communities;

-Facilitate Community Development Planning;

-Mentor and technically assist CDCs, GAs, and subcommittees;

-Immediately report failure in the project activities and his/her duties;

-Ensure humanitarian principle and standards during the day to day activities;

-Ensure Do No Harm policy during the field visits;

-Ensure a proper and professional deal with women and children;

-Ensure child safeguarding throughout the relevant field activities;

-Assist the community to understand vulnerabilities and priorities;

-Support in design and developments of IECs for training;

-Encourage and promote positive learning and social change;

-Work with the senior team to build a relationship with the community and mobilize them to equal gender opportunities, and social developments;

-Establish CDC/Guzar Assemblies and sub-committees;

-Train CDC/ Guzar Assemblies and sub-committees on their ToRs;

-Ensure proper working relations with the CDC/ Guzar Assemblies;

-Ensure gender balance in the program;

-Recording and filing all community exercises;

-Participate in reviews and evaluations;

-Advocate the cause of women and children in the community and society at large;

-Identify ways of scaling up the project and educational materials that can be used;

-Any other task assigned by both top-level and mid-level management;

Communication/ Coordination

-Responsible for proper communication/coordination in all the work-related matters

-Support the field level activities in the absence of activity managers;

-Ensure to involve activity managers in all the major work-related decisions.

-Ensure to inform the activity managers of all the related security issues and other vital information

-Maintaining a good relationship with the other members of the team;

-Skills and confidence to coach and mentor CDCs/GAs & tackle underperformance

Job Requirement

-Bachelor's degree from a recognized university;

-Minimum 3 years working experience of promoting similar groups or executing similar community development projects;

-Experience with Citizen Charter is preferred;
