Saffron production was first introduced to Afghanistan in 1973, however, it became more prevalent in 1990s. Over the past few decades Saffron cultivation has grown exponentially, and Afghanistan now accounts for over 16% of the global export market.

CRUX has been producing Saffron in Herat province since 2015. Our business model focuses on a community inclusive approach; and we have employed farmers from the local communities. Moreover, CRUX has provided training to women from local communities, who assist us in the processing of Saffron.

We have the four different grades of saffron: Super Negin, Negin, Pushal and Sargol

Afghanistan produces several varieties of almonds including:

- Hard shell, fairly wrinkled, long and wide, brown Almonds; also known by Badam Khairadini
- Soft shell, light brown, long and lightly wrinkled, also goes by the name Sattar Bhai Badam
- Soft shell, smooth surface, lightly wrinkled, and long Almond, also known as Kagazi Badam
- Soft shell, brown, long and wrinkled surface Almond, also known as Tarash Badam

Afghanistan produced Pistachio, green and purple, aromatic, available both with shell and without it. Processed by CRUX office in Afghanistan and available for delivery both from UAE, Afghanistan and Canada.
